Summary:

It's death by curry in a 'killer' romantic comedy from the team who gave us Bend It Like Beckham.

A starry international cast features in this rom-com with a spicy difference. A mother desperate for her daughter to find love ends up taking mouth-watering revenge against the families who reject her. And as the police hunt for a serial murderer who cooks a killer curry, the victims start popping up as ghosts! It's A Wonderful Afterlife is produced, directed and co-written by Gurinder Chadha, who previously gave us hit comedies Bend It Like Beckham and Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging). In keeping with Chadha's reputation for discovering new talent, the film's lead actress is newcomer Goldy Notay - next to be seen in Sex and the City 2 - while the international cast includes Jimi Mistry (The Guru), Sally Hawkins (Happy Go Lucky), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes), Sanjeev Bhaskar (The Kumars at No. 42) and Zoe Wanamaker (My Family).

Review:

Not the best film in the world but watchable.
